Indonesia Infrastructure Guarantee Fund launched “Indonesian Infrastructure Society” or Masyarakat Infrastruktur Indonesia (MII) which was initiated by the experts in the field of infrastructure as the main event in the series of IIGF National Seminar on Thursday, December 17th, 2015 at Thamrin Nine Ballroom, UOB Plaza, Jakarta.
The series of National Seminar which took place since Wednesday (12/16/2015) was an annual event conducted by IIGF to celebrate its anniversary on December 30, 2015. This year, the National Seminar was held to celebrate IIGF 6th Anniversary. This event began with the launching of University Network for Infrastructure Development (UNIID) followed by the declaration of support from UNIID to accelerate the development of National Infrastructure to the Coordinating Minister for EconomicAffairs, Sofyan Djalil.
The event continued with panel discussion about “Preparation, Financing, and Infrastructure Project Guarantee” presented by speakers from Angkasa Pura II, Noor Marzuki (Director of the National Land Agency/ Badan Pertanahan Nasional), Prof Danang Parikesit (UNIID Chariman), and Sinthya Roesly (President Director of IIGF).
There was also launching session of “Indonesian Infrastructure Society” or Masyarakat Infrastruktur Indonesia (MII) afterwards, began with a video shown as an overview of MII. On this occasion, Director General DJKN, Sonny Loho, accepted MII Charter witnessed by Luky Alfirman, President Commissioner IIGF and other invitees. MII is a result of what experts in the field of infrastructure do to support Indonesian infrastructure experts’ quality improvement. By doing so, many people expect to have better quality infrastructure that can reduce the risk of infrastructure projects for the country.
Besides Coordinating Minister for Economic, Sofyan Djalil, the event was also attended by the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Mochamad Basoeki Hadimoeljono, as well as the Minister of Finance Bambang Brodjonegoro, who previously had also given a keynote speech with the spirit of encouraging the development of infrastructure in Indonesia.
As for closing, IIGF also launched several publications such as Public Private Partnership Reference Book, Pre-Feasibility Studies in Infrastructure Project, Environmental Handbook for Infrastructure Guarantee, and Guarantee Monitoring System.
