PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero) / PT PII - one of the Special Mission Vehicles (SMV) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia - has officially signed a Guarantee Agreement for the Government Cooperation with Business Entity (PPP) project for the preservation of Sumatra's East Cross Road in South Sumatra Province (Jalintim South Sumatra), witnessed by the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) RI Basuki Hadimuljono in Jakarta.

The Sumsel Jalintim Preservation PPP project is the first PPP project in the Non-toll road sector in Indonesia, and has received a guarantee from the Government through PT PII. As one of the alternative financing schemes, this PPP project is a form of Government support for the community through infrastructure projects that have a major impact on economic improvement, namely through increasing connectivity between regions, especially those used as logistics, tourism, access roads to ports and airports, and savings in Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) and the value of travel time.
